OVERVIEW
Pursuit of X is a complex multi-portal platform for youth career exploration, combining student onboarding and self-discovery with events, opportunities, employer collaboration, partner operations, and admin oversight.
I worked across both frontend and backend systems, building product flows for students, employers, partners, and admins while also creating the POX Private API with key-based access, scoped permissions, usage logging, and interactive documentation.
The challenge was not just building screens. It was making a large relational platform feel coherent across onboarding, assessments, map-driven navigation, events, opportunities, matching, exports, consents, and operational tooling.
WHAT I OWNED
- -Built the POX Private API across authentication, scoped API keys, usage logging, docs, and admin automation surfaces for external access to students, employers, events, opportunities, and streams.
- -Built multi-role product flows across student onboarding, interactive map navigation, events, opportunities, reflections, employer dashboards, partner dashboards, and admin operations.
- -Developed backend and data layers around Supabase, Prisma, PostgreSQL, server actions, and role-based middleware to support assessments, registrations, matching, consents, exports, and platform configuration.
- -Implemented advanced platform tooling such as matching workflows, partner class management, parent consent tracking, XLSX and PDF exports, and Gemini-assisted reflection prompts.
KEY OUTCOMES
- -Delivered a complex full-stack platform serving students, employers, partners, and admins inside one coherent system.
- -Shipped a secure API-ready foundation with documented endpoints, key management, scoped permissions, and activity monitoring instead of limiting the platform to internal-only data access.
- -Turned platform operations into usable product surfaces through dashboards, exports, matching tools, and role-specific workflows rather than relying on fragmented manual processes.
- -Made the student journey more engaging through map-driven discovery, assessments, profile systems, event progression, and guided reflection flows.
